integrity?

I step outside into the open space
A single blanket of snow, no noticeable trace
Where white land meets white sky
Idolized serenity before mine eyes
A Kodak moment, with no memoir but my mind

Cautious not to move at all
Stifle my voice so no words may fall
Keep the innocence of the scene intact
No prints to be left in the unscathed snow
No sound to disrupt the silent flow

Soft snowfall fills the air
Evenly dispersed as if forever there
Secrets rest in their silent existence, yet
Are not to be found in the embodied flakes
But in the spaces they collectively create

Like heartless words thrown in dispute
Or heartfelt notes performed in musical pursuit
The silences in between act as reflections, of
The snowflakes spreading contagious beauty
Exhilarating the mind as if Nature's true duty

I stare fixated upon the changing painting
A still life come alive, moving moments of elation
With no dishonesty, vice, or corruption
Untouched by greed and human destruction
I peer into

Shouts of laughter lifting behind me take shape
Children with sleds rushing past on all sides
Cutting through the perfect picturesque landscape
Ready to manipulate two worlds of one kind
Separating dreams and reality from a worldly bind

Nature delivers integrity with constant persistence
An ethic that falls short in human existence
