Musical Embodiment

Music manifests beauty in all elements that will arise
Nothing escapes melodious fate, an indeterminist’s demise
The melody calls clearer and louder when the stereo is turned down
Instrument choosing objective destiny within its given sound

The night canvas is painted black, a glowing orb pinned heavens high
Mysteriously obscure full-bodied keys, sweeping intensity of a storm’s sigh
Rain pouring past my entranced vision, wild thunder filling my ears
Flute notes flow effortlessly down as the cymbals crash through my fears

A stroll through New York City, is no slow paced occasion
As the drum and bass beats through, defying all rhythmic equations
Cell phones open, taxis flying by, skyscrapers scratching the surface of the sky
Filthy patterns and liquid layers caste over a spirit considered spry

The elegant stroll of the feminine type calls the males mind awake
The tenor sax jazzes out sexiness, the drummer hits the breaks
She flips her hair, distinguishing herself with an inherent grace
A bassist deepens the scandalous mood with a salsa driven pace

Two friends rest fast with fishing lines drawn out as the bait
The foreshadowing of a wild banjo bluegrass breakdown state
A fish snags the lure moving the line to sing a song
The dueling banjos hasten their battle, manic emotions clanging along

An unshaven man hits the bottle with too many regrets
The Blues begin the man’s unsung song, emotionally in debt
He drowns his deepest sorrows in the poison that will hit harder
The guitarist picking passionate notes, pushing a troubled soul farther

No painter can paint these scenes, such as a musician’s mind
An ability to translate innate quality through an instrument’s design
No story left untold, or character unexplained
A timeless essence of beauty, a soundtrack never to be framed
