leaves fall towards home
as footprints of ancient past
moving deep resolve

In proper movement, for one part to move, the whole must also move. This unified movement offers fluidity within stability and strength. Nothing is fighting itself, all is moving in cooperation. Movement of the one depends on the movement of the whole.

This is true in physical motion when we want to move gracefully on our feet, but it is also true in the larger scope of the world. We must move in cooperation with the guiding energy, the path that unfolds before us. Everything happens and unfolds as it will. If you resist the motion of the world around you, does it not in the end correct itself? Are we not borrowed energy, and does this energy not eventually return to the source? For one to move forward, we must look deeply at the direction and movement of the universe at that moment, recognize your place within it, and choose to move with it. Pay attention to the signs and events in your daily life, and your position within it all. The I Ching was created for this purpose. The archetypal patterns of this world have been realized by those who pay attention and look deeply. To recognize these patterns and move within their direction can surely help us attain health and happiness, and will allow you to help all of those who are in your presence. I think this is true healing. No conflict, no struggle - movement of the one in harmony with the movement of the whole. Like a whirlpool, the forward motion with the flow of the water becomes a catalyst for growth and progress.

Not moving in harmony with the way of the world seems to produce stagnant energy, it resists proper movement and is an unhealthy path to travel. It often seems we are in an attempt to create a different direction, a different position for ourselves within the world. Remind yourself that the time and place is "here and now", it is never conditional. If you are paying attention, looking deeply, making choices for forward movement - you are already in your proper place. If we realize that we are quite literally a part of the universe, and that the universe is continually and eternally evolving, then that means we are always evolving, as well. If we can accept that we are in an eternal state of change, then it would seem wise to watch the evolution of the universe in this present moment, and learn to move within it. This is why we practice meditation in motion. In this type of movement everything is aligned and you will be free to live and grow, free to heal - happiness is no longer dependent on another, and those in your life will be sources for enrichment, not for control and manipulation.
